Never a Dull Moment

Never a Dull Moment...that seems to be what we are saying more and more these days when it comes to Cristian. He is a ball of surprises, giggles, and smiles... I can imagine him as the class clown, following in his grandfather's footprints. He is such a sweet baby, as his auntie describes him, but he has another side of him that's also sooo fun, michievious and definitely the life of the party.. Here are some pictures that definitely show that!

AJ's First Day of Westwood

I'm not sure who it's harder for, the parents, or the child. But after going through today's events.. I can assure you, it's harder for the parents. After he was dressed, and I cried, we headed off to school this morning at Westwood Christian School. His teachers were very welcoming and had everything set up and ready for the children. We had a short Orientation, and then the kids went off to the playground. This was great because the children were busy playing, and the parents could make a quick getaway without being noticed. Not for my AJ though, he asked me where I was going, and I said I would be back at noon to pick him up. He waved goodbye, and went about playing in the playground..I'm sure as a parent, they'll be more moments like this; where we may not be so ready to let go, but they are MORE than ready... Enjoy the pictures below.. I'll post more soon...

AJ's First Day of Preschool

After much anticipation on his part, and a BODY full of nerves from our part, we waved goodbye to AJ on his first day of preschool. He was sooo excited to finally be starting school, he didn't even have time to look up from the puzzle he was playing with to wave goodbye back to us! Ms. Barbara at Creative Learning Center said he did a great job! I pray he continues to be good! I'm a little nervous that once he becomes comfortable, AJ the social butterfly, and "high energy" kid will be bouncing off the walls- in a good way! Here are some pics from his first day at Pre-K. Too cute... Can't believe we're sending him off to school already.. I feel like it was yesterday that I was just pregnant with him! Time really does fly by. But it's in these precious moments that we find gratitude to God that he's given us such a gift!!! Here's my pumpkin :) I guess I shouldn't call him that anymore now that he's in school huh? lol.. I guess I'll continue to be the embarrassing mom for now- until I get used to all of this!

Mothers Day 2009 Pool Party

We spent Mother's Day by the pool celebrating my Aunt's birthday. We had a great bbq and wonderful time with our family. Here are some pictures of us hanging around at the pool. What a great blessing God has given me with these two sweet boys and great family!

Please Vote for Danny Gokey!

Ok, yes, I'm a mom, I almost 29 years old, and I watch American Idol. (Like a 12 year old my husband says).

One of their contestants this year has totally floored me with his talent especially, but also his character and personality.

Everyone says his story which you can read a little about here (http://www.sophiasheart.org/) is what is causing his huge fan base. I am going to disagree! This guy can really sing! Isn't that the point of the competition? I'm not sure why everyone is almost trying to find fault in his personal history in an attempt to undermine his talent. The truth of the matter is, that American Idol is a signing competition, and he can sing. And guess what? America knows that. He has never been in the bottom 3 in the entire competition. Now, they're even attacking the brand of his signature glasses? Give me a break people!!!!

Danny Gokey is awesome! He's a wonderful singer, a great person, who just so happened to have suffered a personal loss, and is traveling life's journey just as we all are. He's had a couple bumps along the way, but who hasn't?

I believe God has a plan for everyone's life. (Including me writing this about Danny. lol :) Who knows why God decided to take his wife Sophia at such an early age? Who knows why the circumstances were that he auditioned for American Idol at the time he did? All I know, is that God has definitely blessed him with a beautiful voice, and has a plan for him to use it for all of America to see!

I am praying that he wins American Idol, but if God's plan is for him not to, I know that he will soon be playing on all our radios, and added to our iPod playlists. He's already on mine!

Maybe God's plan is just to show everyone in America who is hurting from similar situations, that you can pick yourself up after difficult times, move on, overcome adversities, and be an inspiration to millions across the United States.

Well, mission accomplised for this American :)

Go Gokey Go!

Our Babies and their newly found liking to sunglasses

So we went to a Birthday Party this past weekend and I couldn't resist (how common!) to buy them new outfits. Then, I saw these great sunglasses from Children's Place. They loved them! Here they are in their new outfits and sunglasses having a bonding moment in Grandma & Grandpa's front yard.
